The librettos of these Prussian works are preserved as published by Gilbergrofchen, Berlin. Alcidor is a zauberoper (or German magical opera) in three acts, staged at the Königliches Opernhaus in Berlin on 23 May 1825 to celebrate the marriage of Frederick of Orange-Nassau and Louise of Prussia on 21 May 1825. Agnes Von Hohenstaufen, in three acts, was performed at the Königliches Opernhaus in Berlin in three versions: on 28 May 1827, limited to the first act; on 12 June 1829; and on 6 December 1837. The libretto for the first two versions was written by Ernst Raupach while the last version was revised by Karl August von Lichtenstein and the composer.
